Rachel and Jon’s relationship is such a beautiful testament to God’s love and goodness. It was a joy to their wedding photography at Main Street Abbey in Columbia, IL. The entire day was as magical and it ended that way too.

The day began as one of the hottest days of the year, but the sun was shining and everyone was smiling. The second Jon saw Rachel, he couldn’t stop smiling. He embraced her and his love and adoration was clear. This moment was so beautiful, it served as a reminder of why I am still so head-over-heels in love with my career as a wedding photographer.

After the ceremony, the sky darkened as loud cracks of thunder and bright lightening began closing in. We had just made it under the cocktail hour pavilion as the rain started pouring down.

The first dance was set to be under the stars and luckily, after dinner was served, the weather cleared off into the most beautiful, cool evening…

As the guests began to set the scene for Jon and Rachel, they approached the dance floor under bistro lighting and the most incredible starry sky, surrounded by sparklers, and it all felt like a real life fairytale.

This beautiful day was absolutely deserved for these sweet souls and their incredible families. Congratulations, once again, you two. It was a pleasure being your wedding photographer!
